I can't say I didn't discover this charming nymph without the help of a dear friend, but I certainly rediscovered her while researching gibson girl style. To me she is a symbol of pure, ethereal feminine beauty. Her life's story, however, fits all the requirements of a classic greek tragedy, with her beauty as hamartia. This makes her even more fascinating to me. I would really like to read American Eve as I've heard it's a good explanation of her fame and the controversy that surrounded her.
