Restrepo

Watched the documentary Restrepo the other day. Very humanizing. It was a good, thoughtful piece. I'm realizing lately what I like in a documentary and what I don't-- often the choice of a narrow subject and a focus on human drama over political or social agenda makes a big difference in how I feel about them. I used to think I didn't like documentaries very much at all, but it's a pretty diverse genre.

Also the countryside was eerily pretty in Afghanistan. Photo below is a screenshot from the film.
